RITTER Elektronik in KONE autowalk
Steuerungselektronik für KONE-Fahrsteige
KONE-Fahrstieg in Schiphol mit Steuerungselektronik von Ritter
We have developed the electrical and electronics equipment for the new KONE autowalks in the terminal B of Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. We look back on a long term cooperation with KONE in the sector of escalator engineering, where we are the worldwide supplier of electronic components in KONE escalators. For the autowalks new electrical control cabinets were developed to fulfil the particular requirements. For this purpose we had a close collaboration regarding the electrical concept. Ritter is the manufacturer of the control electronics boards. We also complete the final assembly of the components to a functioning unit. The electrical control cabinet, specially developed for the autowalks, was fitted into the very flat ramp and adjusted to the inclination according to space saving construction. Due to the mechatronic design all components could be placed in the electrical control cabinets according to their applications, avoiding long wiring distances.

Labelling machines with integrated servo drives
The demand for a higher flexibility in labelling of bottles was the incitement for a leading producer of the beverages industry to replace the fixed guided rotation of the current cam disks by a flexible solution with controlled drives for labelling bottles. In cooperation with the customer Ritter Elektronik created a mechatronic unit that combines the drive, power electronics and control for an electronic transmission. The task was to place a drive with high torque into the dimensions of the old solution that not only meets the requirements the rotations last only 160 ms in most cases and require an precision of 0.2 degree but also reaches the required protection class. Besides the drive engineering also the related wiring concept including the design of connectors was developed, which now makes a connection of up to 70 drives on a rotating spinner with a diameter of approximately 2 meters possible. It makes no difference if the technician replaces the old transmission or the drive component.

Medium frequency induction heating
for high-speed rollers
For the production of synthetic fibre the yarn has to pass different process steps. One of these steps is the stretching of the yarn that is normally achieved with heated rollers, so called godets. As these rollers have rotation speeds higher than 10,000 rpm it is a great advantage to heat them up with induction. Due to the fact that several filaments are transferred side by side over one godet, it is crucial to maintain the temperature section in axial direction. This is achieved by multi-zone induction heating systems that have up to eight separate control circuits. Each zone has its own temperature sensor that is rotating with the roller and wirelessly transmits the actual value to the according controller, which makes the medium frequency generator to alter the performance.
